Northern Nishnawbe Education Council is a not for profit educational organization. Under the direction of the Sioux Lookout Area Chiefs, NNEC delivers secondary and post secondary education programs and services for First Nations people. NNEC requires a Recreation Worker for Dennis Franklin Cromarty High School.
The Recreation Worker provides recreational activities to the students of
Dennis Franklin Cromarty High School. Under the direct supervision of the
Recreation Coordinator, the Recreation Worker will promote healthy lifestyles
of our students through involvement of recreational programming and Right
to Play programming throughout the school year. The job entails working
approximately 20-30 hours per week including some weekends.
Grade 12
Recreation and Leisure Diploma is preferred, but not a necessity.
Excellent communication skills
Word-processing proficiency; experience with Microsoft Word, WP an asset
A cooperative attitude when working with DFCHS staff, students and public
Fluency in Oji-Cree, Cree or Ojibwe is an asset
Class “E” Driver’s License, Those with a plan to obtain their Class “E” Driver’s
License are strongly encouraged to apply.
