The Keewatin-Patricia District School Board serves the communities of Kenora, Dryden, Red Lake,
Sioux Lookout, Pickle Lake, Upsala, Savant Lake, Ear Falls, and Ignace with a system of 23 elementary
approximately 5,000 kindergarten to grade 12 students, with another approximately 1000 adult alternative
POSITION SUMMARY
The Keewatin-Patricia District School Board is looking for a strong, dynamic individual with extensive
Reporting to the Director of Education and a contributing member of the Board’s Senior Administration Team,
this incumbent will have exemplary interpersonal skills, foster system coherence, and will be accountable for:
- Development and implementation of language, culture and land-based programs;
of new Ontario Secondary School (OSS) courses;
(graduation, attendance, student voice, EQAO, suspensions);
- Implementation and supervision of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada (TRC)
Recommendations as they pertain to Education;
- Supervising and expanding the Board’s Ojibwe and Oji-Cree Languages Program;
- Manage Education Service Agreements and Reciprocal Education Service Agreements with Indigenous Partners;
- Supervise the KPDSB’s very successful “Four Directions” Graduation Coach Program across the Board’s
secondary panel;
