The City of Thunder Bay is accepting Electronic Bid Submissions
through the City’s Bids & Tenders website at
https://thunderbay.bidsandtenders.ca for
Contract 3, 2025 – Sewer & Watermain I – Simpson St./Leith St.
Hard copy submissions will not be accepted. Bids must be submitted
and received by the City not later than 2:00 PM, local time on:
THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 20, 2025
Electronic copies of the Tender documents are available for download
on or after Wednesday, February 5, 2025 from the City’s Bids & Tenders
website. All Tenderers must log into their account and register for the
Tender before they can download the Tender documents. This project
requires extensive company experience with larger sewer and water
projects.
The Work to be completed under this contract will include, but not be
limited to:
Approximately 4000 tonnes of HL4 asphalt, 6400 tonnes of Granular A,
related excavations, 1300 linear meters of watermain, 900 linear meters
of sanitary sewer, 2000 linear meters of concrete sidewalk, 1650 linear
meters of curb and gutter as well as street lighting poles and infrastructure on Simpson Street and Leith Street.
Construction activities will be planned and discussed with City
Engineering in order to limit disruption to business activity as much as
possible.
To ensure receipt of the latest information and updates via email regarding this Tender, or if a Tenderer has obtained the tender document
from a third party, the onus is on the Tenderer to create a Bidding
System Vendor account and register as a plan taker for the tender
opportunity.
All Addenda will be issued on the City’s Bids & Tenders website.
The lowest tender or any tender will not necessarily be accepted.
